50% Match! Books for Backpacks

"I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book." **J.K. Rowling**  Everyone is a reader... Some just haven't found their favorite book yet.. Statistically children who have books on their bookshelves will achieve much more, higher grade point average, better social skills, and successful careers. The children of our Somerset Community are the future to our home town.

50% Grant Matching for Books will be given to our local Somerset Community Food Pantry where they will be able to feed the brains of local children. By placing books in their wonderful Backpack Program, Birthday Boxes, and Easter Basket add-ons when visiting the pantry.

I am looking to raise $1,000.00 in the next 48-72 hours to purchase these books with a program called "Literacy for a Lifetime", where Usborne Books and More will match 50%. With $1,000.00 raised we can bring the pantry $1,500.00 in new books to spread the love of reading and education into our community. That is equal to 100 people donating $10.00! I am extremely excited to work with the Somerset Community Food Pantry and can not wait to watch them share these books with the children.
