Thank you to everyone for the support during the months of Judy’s illness, hospitalization as well as in the time after her passing.
Judy was someone who brought people together, cared passionately for her community and worked tirelessly (usually behind the scenes). She had an impeccable memory for people, stories and events and we wanted to find a way to capture and share some of the wonderful ‘Judy’ memories that have been coming to us.
These stories have been giving us (her family) great comfort as we remember the vibrant, wonderful life Judy lead, rather than the difficult last few months of her illness. We wanted to share these with her friends, colleagues, neighbours, past students and others who cared about her.
Through this campaign , we want to pay tribute to Judy by sharing memories, stories and pictures of our experiences with her; so that we can keep Judy alive in our hearts.
Judy was staunch advocate, organizer and champion for CCVS, the high school she graduated from and taught at for most of her career.
To honour her we are creating a ‘Judy Bobka Memorial Fund’ in order to establish a bursary for a deserving student at CCVS, the school that was so close to her heart. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to this fund would be greatly appreciated.
