13547963_1472795191.3792_funddescription Katherine and I met when we were young. We grew up in small town, rural Mississippi; in a town where everyone knows each other on a first name basis. When we came out as transgender, we faced rejection by our families. My entire family and all but one member of Kat's family is no longer apart of our lives.

We have two beautiful, rambuncious youngsters. They are six and three. We do home-school for them. I am the lead learning coach, participating M-F online.

We are both transgender advocates and activists. We do volunteer outreach in the community.  Katherine works with the Trans Lifeline. She is a team lead, an operator doing peer support, encouragement, suicide prevention and crisis intervention, as well as assisting with the start up of a new line being created for friends, families, and allies of transgender people.

I write the blog Two Trans One Van. I am also the administrator of 4 online support groups for transgender folks. I volunteer as an independant recruiter connecting trans folks to jobs that work for them.  Also up and running is a transgender parents group for parents that are also transgender.  Currently I am working on another project for geared toward education that will be up and running soon!

I am disabled and have been fighting through that process for the last six years. So I perfrom countless hours of work for free for the transgender and LGB communities. If you can help our small family of four conintue this life changing work, we would be forever grateful! Any contribuition is appreciated :)

Many thanks and blessings!

We are excited about the changes that 2017 brought with it, and hopeful about more stabilization in 2018! Your donation can help us to further concrete our family footing. We are setting aside time this weekend to fix our van and making an appointment for my license for the following weeks in an available time slot with the local DMV. We should be back up and running with our own transportation soon!

We thank you for continuing to uplift, encourage, and support our family through our hardships. One more obstacle to overcome, and that's disability. I have an imaging appointment tomorrow for MRI's to see if my shoulder and knee require surgery. The provider believes I may need a rotator cuff repaired in my shoulder and a cyst removed from my knee. We will soon see what the future holds. Also, I've been started on two new medications that I've been adjusting to over the last couple weeks as well.

Our family had a very blessed holiday. We have all enjoyed the games, toys, puzzles, and activities. 2018 is off to a great start, mostly thanks to our chosen family & friends.

We value and appreciate all of our allies, friends & chosen family <3.

Thank you to all of our donors and if you want to donate but want to use another method we do have pay-pal.

Since I'm here, this campaign needs an update too. Here goes. We are still paying back the Lifeline and a friend (soon) for helping us with getting our van out of the impound. Food stamps decreased by $535 per month, now we are relying on food pantries to eat for 2 out of 4 weeks a month. We have yet to be able to afford a new starter for our van, so it's just sitting in the same spot. We have yet to be able to afford my driver's license it's 60 to get a new one here, mine from Mississippi expired in August. I went when we did have some extra money, but they told me I needed two more documents, I ended up having to pay nearly a hundred dollars for these two items, leaving no money once they took several weeks to arrive by snail mail. So, we could use some extra help, especially this week, we have 3 days of food and 10 days until the next payday. An acquaintance here had told me she had food to spare, but then let her daughter take it to school for a point system instead, so that was a huge let down.

Katherine is now the training coordinator and team lead over the new volunteers of the up and coming Trans Family Line, for family members of transgender folks to reach out for support as well. She still is serving her position as Team Lead, and Staff Operator for the Trans Lifeline.

Disability, well I have to start over since I'm now residing in another state than California, the most resent state I applied in. I have launched a new website called Three Two One Trans, an informational site with videos (more to come) for transgender parents. I'm facilitating Trans Lives Matter now, an events, news, and informational site, as well as the 4 support groups and the group for updates on the Three Two One Trans project. We just had a release of our interview with Callie Wright from "The Queer Side", which you can find on Patreon. We also were guests at the Online Empowered Trans Woman Summit, hosted by Cassie Brighter.

If you can help us continue our outreach and support, please do so! You're very appreciated.

Update on our projects: the blog is going strong. Working on a new project now, should be ready to launch soon. Check our Facebook page for more updates. We are excited. Katherine is helping the start up of a new Family Line for SOFFA of transgender people. I am so proud she's doing such meaningful and important work! I have began a Facebook group for transgender people looking for employment. It's going well and already helped locate 8 people to job applications suited for them. The transgender parent's group is growing every week. In my own job search I've applied to over 60 jobs, both WFH and other wise. I'm hoping to be in a position soon. One that fits well, is meaningful, and I feel is making a difference in the world. Thanks for reading and being our community! :)

Hello everyone! Since, last Thursday, I've called over 20 places looking for food for us. When we got down the last days food, I got a bit nervous! Thankfully, we were blessed with a donation of food today. Two very kind people drove it out to us as well. We are so thankful!
