Birdie Bus Mobile Bird Rescue

The Birdie Bus is a new outreach program from Ginger's Parrots Bird Rescue. It is a mobile rescue solution to bring the bird rescue to the public. It has always been a challenge having potential adopters/donors find the rescue so now with the Birdie Bus, the rescue can come to populated places to introduce people to the concept of bird rescue and adoption.

The Birdie Bus serves three purposes: getting the birds out for fresh air and socialization, finding adopters, and finding volunteers to keep the program going. Secondary goals are soliciting donations and educating the public about parrots as pets.

The bus was donated to the rescue and the grand opening event was held on November 12/13 2016. However, these is a lot that needs to be fixed or improved to keep the Birdie Bus project going. We can really use your help!

Here are some of the items that we are raising money for that will help fuel this mobile rescue program:

-New tires
-Air conditioner repair
-Carbon monoxide detector
-Storage racks for bird cages and supplies
-Printing pamphlets and posters
-Fire extinguisher
-Regular maintenance
-Gas money

You can help by donating money through this fund raising campaign, send items directly (but please check with the rescue in case it has already been donated by someone else), come out to volunteer, or simply spread the word and help us find more donors.
