Upstate New York Bernie Billboards
Bernie Believers is a group of over 40,000 members on Facebook that was formed to show faith in Bernie Sanders and to help spur his campaign to victory.
The admins got together recently and decided to use the power of such a large group and create a movement designed to help local areas that the National Campaign may not devote any resources to. The biggest issue now: Upstate New York.
New York is a huge state that has a diverse population of people. Most people only think of New York City and surrounding areas. Not Upstate. But this year, New York has the chance to either make or break Bernie's campaign. So we need to focus on EVERY area.
That is why four of the administrators who live in Upstate New York decided to harness the power of grassroots and raise money to pay for billboard advertisements in Utica, New York in very busy sectors of the city in 3 different spots.
Why Utica? Utica is a heavily populated Upstate New York city in Oneida County. It is a heavily commuted through area and has the potential to truly reach many people who drive through past the billoard locations.
Above is the actual banner that will be displayed for the three locations.
We are asking members of the group and whoever else may want to help, to pitch in $10 apiece to raise $1500 dollars to have the different spots have a Bernie Banner. That's just 150 people.
Legal: Yes, this is completely legal. We have checked and made sure. This is a completely grassroots movement that is in no way connected to the official campaign. We are simply helping raise awareness through advertisement. GoFundMe's rules also do not prohibit this from being done either.

Thank you all so much. This is our first attempt at helping the campaign in New York. If we find that this helped immensely in our area to raise awareness for Bernie, we will immediately throughout April work with everyone to try and help other local areas get advertisements up.
