HELP US "FLIP THE SCRIPT" for Philadelphia's Underserved Youth
At Big Picture Alliance we believe that every young person has a story to tell and a destiny to be written. When youth tap into their natural creativity and feel heard, they become inspired to author the script for their own future. That's why we've been engaging and educating Philadelphia's youth through filmmaking for over 20 years.
Working with over 90 school & community partners and 6,000 youth, we have begun to "flip the script" on Philadelphia's academic achievement gap and high drop out rates. Our innovative approach to project-based learning has resulted in improved academic achievement, college scholarships, internships and employment, and numerous award-winning films . Our programs bring experienced filmmakers into classrooms and communities to teach the collaborative filmmaking process from script to screen. We provide a safe outlet for youth to develop as young professionals and have their voices heard.

We are excited to announce that Temple University's student-run media collective Wandering Studios, has pledged to raise $2000 for Big Picture Alliance. We are asking our supporters to match that amount to help us raise a total of at least $4000 so we can continue bringing this transformative programming to more youth!

Here's How Big Picture Alliance Has Been "Flipping the Script" with Philly Youth:
We have served over 6,000 youth in 7 council districts, through 90 school and community partnerships.
Our innovative approach to project-based learning has resulted in improved grades, higher test scores, and improved attendance.
Our student films have won film festival awards and supported college acceptance and scholarships.
Our programs, screenings and field trips have connected students to internships and employment in the community and film industry.
