Chase Simmons and family

$22,327 of $50,000 goal

Raised by 428 people in 41 months
PFC Chase Simmons was in a major car accident in December of 2015 while home for Christmas from active duty.
UPDATE: Chase is now in Hospice and is not expected to make it. His brain is shutting down according to his doctors. His father, Keith, is STILL going to work everyday as the family cannot afford for him to take the time off.  The family has so many bills to pay and he can't get paid time off to be where he should be, at his son's bedside, during his last days.

So many thanks go to all of you who continue to support this family. They want to give him a full military funeral which will be costly but they feel it important to send their son to heaven in this manner. So now, we look to the kind hearted people of the world to help with funeral expenses. A tragic truth for such an amazing family. God bless you.

There have been comments made that the military is paying for EVERYTHING, including a full military sendoff. This is simply not true. Please check your facts first and please stop posting comments to this campaign that reflect that belief.

For more details on the situation, please click here for the current news story.   http://www.10news.com/news/local-soldier-chase-simmons-takes-tragic-turn-for-the-worse

Below is how the campaign started...
Chase is an amazing person who devoted his life to helping others. His parents haven’t left his side since the accident and continue to fight alongside him. Chase will make it home but the Simmons need our help. Any donations will go to help with:

·      Medical bills

·      An access van to transport Chase

·      Totally remodeling their home to fit Chase’s needs

·      Financial support to help the family focus solely on Chase’s recovery

Give what you can from your heart. Vicki always tells me it’s not about the money but the bills are piling up. Let’s help the Simmons focus on supporting the miracle that is Chase's recovery and not on what it costs. Thank you all in advance for your help and generosity.

As youall have probably heard by now, Chase has lost his fight. He is sleeping with the angels and his family is beyond heartbroken. Thank you forall you have done and continue to do to help them.

The latest update on Chase is that the service has now claimed he is no longer Active Duty and is being classified as a veteran. Therefore, all funeral expenses will be on the family. If you can find it in your hearts to continue donating, the family would be overwhelmed. Chase is still with us, but the outlook is not good, Thank you in advance. Gayle

SPC Chase Simmons has taken a turn for the worse. After meeting with Doctors last week, Doctors now say Chase's condition, specifically his brain, is deteriorating. Chase Simmons has been place under hospice care as of Monday January 9th, 2017.

From what is being told to Chase's parents, Chase is expected to pass sometime in the coming days, maybe 2-3 days left :(

Chase you are an amazing young man! We are praying for God to put his mighty healing hands upon you and to give you strength. We are also praying for your Mom. Us Mom's will always stand beside our children and aid them in any way we can. Your mom will need strength as well. I wish we could give you money but we have a chronically ill child and our finances aren't the best. Chase always pull on God's strength, positive thinking, and love from your Mom. You've got this!!!

We just found out we may have to modify our home to accommodate Chase so he can come home , also a vehicle that will fit Chase cause well my car looks like a bag of potatoe chips . We feel humbled and our tears flow when we find out someone else is prayin for our son , so thank you my friend and we love you!!

Viki. You say you never wanted this to be about money. gofundme is just that. All about money. It is for asking for help because of an unexpected tragedy. There is nothing wrong with that. I hope you don`t take this down. Give people the oppertunity to help Chase. There will always be people who criticize. You take this down and they win. Iwill be praying for your son`s full and speedy recovery. Such a handsome young man. Good luck.

It has come to my attention that people think I'm doing wrong, just to clear the air at first I didn't know that The Army would help cover the house cost, a vehicle, and his medical bills . So because of this I have been a cused of many things even by family . So I'm stopping all of this ,The Army has been right by oir side from day one taking care of us and Chase . Yes we did need help because we took 3 months off of wrk and our bills were adding up and there were certain things we had to pay for , let it be know we are very proud of our Army Family and they have our backs . There are people out there who just love to wrd things , change things around ,and make us look like shitty people. My number 1 goal is to get chase back home and on his feet , I never wanted this to be about money . To family and friends that have tbought neg. About us or just me sorry you feel that way , we are focusing on chase ,we don't need any of this neg. Or crap, or stress . Thank you to the Army , God Bless. I'm taking all of this crap down .

If he was Active duty and in an accident the VA will pay for burial I just checked that with our Decedent Affairs and they will have him buried with full military honors. You should call the nearest VA and get that done, that would help with the cost.

PLEASE don't close this GoFundMe page, as you would remove the blessing we will have to provide donations to this much-needed cause for Chase, his parents, and the many financial responsibilities they have. The insensitivity anyone shows by posting hateful or derogatory comments should be overlooked. People like that need prayer for their hard hearts. We are not called to be their judge - God will surely do that.
