Bea Petersen Family Support

Donation protected

** Update below

As some of you may be aware. Our dear friend Bea Petersen and her family are going through a terrible family crisis. Pat, her husband was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Sadly, Pat's condition is rapidly deteriorating.   Patrick's condition is in the last stages.  Hospice has him comfortable but it is only a matter of a very short time.  I have been asked to update this for The many friends & loved ones that are far away.

Many people have come forward to ask how they can help. There is a need for financial assistance at this time because unfortunately, sometimes we don't think of our own mortality & Pat did not take out life insurance. It may be an error in judgement, however does not change the fact that there are four amazing children in our community who are going to lose their Dad and need our support.

Donations can be made through the gofundme link or by check. Please make checks made out to Bea Petersen. Inbox or email me for her address if needed @ [email redacted]
If you would prefer to help with a meal, gift cards would be preferred over personal food deliveries as there are very limited options that the kids like. There is a request for no food deliveries.

Places they frequent: Stop & Shop (they use Pea Pod), Mulberry St, Martino's, Chinese, Bubba's.

** Update:
From Bea 5/31/15

Pat Petersen did everything fast...but in the end 55 became his final resting speed. Pancreatic Cancer took this dad of 4 from his kids. It took away his chance to see his youngest daughter graduate from elementary school or score another goal and a million other things. His oldest daughter Maggie will graduate from high school with one parent watching and she won't have a chance to show her dad how she will help others be heard through sign. Eric says to me Jesus will open heaven for my dad. And Jack? Well we will watch the new Jurassic Park together but I may have to close my eyes. Pat's greatest achievement wasn't holding the American record for 10 years or winning countless races...it was his children. Our children are amazing and special in more ways than I can discuss. Please my dear FB village help me help my children. 4 gentle souls need you..

RIP Patrick Petersen
