Bástian's Leukemia Treatment

This is my nephew Bástian, he is 2 years and 10 months. A few days ago he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and today he had his first chemotherapy. Unfortunately his insurance doesn't cover all his treatment and as you all know this will be very expensive, his mommy just quit her job to take care of him, but expenses don't end here for this hard working family. Bástian has an older brother, Gabriel who is 6 years old and was left with his godfather in the city they live so that Mommy and Daddy can take Bástian to Lima, Peru for his Chemotherapy and the rest of his treatment. Mommy is going to stay in Lima with Bástian, and daddy has to go back to the city they they live (Trujillo, Peru) to work, take care of Gabriel, travel to Lima on the weekends to visit Bastian. If things go well this is how things will be for the next 3 years.

Hace unos días fué disgnosticado con Leucemia.
Hoy tuvo su primera Quimioterapia. Desafortunadamente el seguro que tiene no cubre todos los gastos de su tratamiento y como todos saben esto será muy caro. Su mamá renunció a su trabajo para cuidar del pequeño, pero los gastos no terminan aquí para esta trabajadora familia. Bástian tiene un hermano mayor, Gabriel, quien tiene 6 años. A Gabriel lo dejaron con su padrino en la cuidad donde viven para que mamá y papá puedan llevar a Bástian a Lima, Perú para su quimioterapia y el resto de su tratamiento. Mamá se va a quedar en Lima cuidando de Bástian mientras que papá regresara a la cuidad donde viven (Trujillo, Perú) a trabajar, cuidar de Gabriel, y regresará a visitar a Bástian los fines de semana.
Si todo sale bien, el tratamiento durará aproximadamente 3 años.

Bástian a un grand frère de 6 ans, Gabriel, qui a du rester avec son parrain dans la ville où ils habitent, pour que papa et maman puissent amener Bastian à Lima, Perou pour son traitement.
Maman doit rester à Lima avec Bástian et papa doit retourner à la ville d'où ils viennent (Trujillo, Peru) pour travailler, prendre soin de Gabriel et aller visiter Bástian a toutes les fin de semaines à Lima. Si tout va bien, ceci devrait être leur mode de vie pour les trois prochaines années.
