Baker To Vegas Solo for LB POA

**Please note - this is a SOLO running effort. I am not a sworn law enforcement officer . This is not a sanctioned race of any sort nor is it sponsored by, affilitated or in conjuction with the LAPRAAC’s Baker2Vegas Challenge Cup Relay Race, the Long Beach Police Department or the LBPD Baker2Vegas Team*
Every year teams of law enforcement agencies from across California and the US come together for a relay race from Baker, CA to Las Vegas, NV.
This year - in a show of community support and solidarity with local law enforcement - I will run from Baker to Vegas - approximately 120 miles solo. I will run the course starting on Thursday March 21st and Friday March 22nd.
I am using this opportunity to raise money for the The Long Beach Police Officers Memorial Widows and Orphans Emergency and Scholarship Trust Fund.
I felt it was time again to do something with my running and the The Long Beach Police Officers Memorial Widows and Orphans Emergency and Scholarship Trust Fund seems like a great opportunity for us as a community to give back to those who give to us every day.
The Long Beach Police Officers Memorial Widows and Orphans Emergency and Scholarship Trust Fund provides:
Emergency financial assistance to the families of police officers killed or injured in the line of duty.
Provides assistance to active officers and families when faced with crisis.
Provides college scholarships to the children of active officers.
