Auntie Beanor's Preschool Expansion
Donation protected
Our family recently made our dream of a volunteer vacation come true. We traveled from Washington State USA to Mwandi Zambia. We spent two weeks working for Home for AIDS Orphans. The village of Mwandi, home of the proud Lozi people, has been devistated by the AIDS crisis. Many children live in poverty raised by grandparents and other community members. Education is not free in Zambia. A grandmother herself, Auntie Beanor teaches from a small one room school house while raising her own grandchildren. Auntie teaches a morning and an afternoon class. Both classes are very full. My mom Shirley spent every day at the school helping Auntie. A past group raised $4000 to build another school building so an additional teacher could teach more children eager to learn. Just $2000 more is needed to build the school. If each of my facebook friends donated just $4 the school could be built. Please help us bring education to many eager children by making a donation in any amount. Thank you!
