Help Nancy Martin Rebuild Her Life

Donation protected
My name is Jennifer Stroh and I've worked at the Land Trust for Santa Barbara County since 2013. My colleague, Nancy Martin, is a 14 year employee for the Land Trust, and was one of only a handful of people in our Santa Barbara community to lose her home in the Thomas Fire.

Nancy plays a crucial role at the Land Trust, and is the glue that makes the Land Trust stay together.  Aside from her work with the Land Trust, Nancy is also a dedicated volunteer in our community.

In true Nancy style, she spent the crucial time she could have spent packing her possessions to pack up and evacuate her elderly neighbor. As a result, Nancy lost everything. While it is not in her nature to solicit personal support, the board and staff realize that in this time of need, Nancy could use a lot of help from the community to replace her basic needs.

We have set up a Go-Fund-Me page in her honor to help her get back on her feet.  We hope to raise funds first for shelter- for the first and last months rent and deposit for a new place to live- ($9,000), funds to cover 6 months of utlilities ($1,000), and replacement of home furnishings, household items, clothing, and personal items ($10,000). Please consider sending her some financial support so that she may start again in Santa Barbara.  Please note that while your support is critical to the Land Trust maintaining its staff and direction, this will not be considered a tax deductible donation.
