Christmas Fundraising for Vet Bills

Tax deductible
As with every Christmas, we find ourselves inundated with stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs.
Many people think it's after Christmas that we have lots of dogs coming to us for rehoming but the reality is that it's BEFORE Christmas.

The sad reality is that it's in the lead up to Christmas, we find more unchipped, unwanted dogs are found straying or abandoned.
All too often, the reason is because the dog has underlying health issues that are just too expensive at this time of year when Christmas presents and festivities take priority.

So far this December, we have had over 10 dogs arrive with multiple injuries, illnesses and conditions that have all required emergency veterinary treatment.
From rotten teeth, ingrown nails and burst absesses, to cancerous tumours, parasitic infestations and broken bones.

Our vet bills are already exceeding £5,000 this Christmas, which, as a small Oxfordshire based charity, is a huge dent in our funding.

Alongside the vet bills, we also have to consider an increase in electricity bills as we use more and more heating, food expenses increase as we have more mouths to feed on top of our day to day running costs.

If anybody can spare just £1 this Christmas, it would be a huge contribution towards the vet bills. We aren't expecting to raise the whole amount, just £1000 of it would be a temendous relief to the chairty.

Thank you for reading, Merry Christmas to everybody.
