New Studio Completion

Vomeronasal Tale ( What Gives Your Intentions Away), oil paint and acrylic polymer on drafting film, 36" H x 72" W

Firefly Studio needs your help to reach completion.

Hi everyone, my name is April Zanne Johnson and I am a visual artist.  Please read a bit about my work on my website  April Zanne Johnson Studio
My new space, Firefly Studio, needs help to get functional!

While I am fortunate to participate in many exhibitions, I rarely sell my work.  My practice is not driven by the market climate and a gallery does not represent me. I have a lifelong vision to experiment and create without the influence of financial gain driving my creative undertakings. I communicate my visual language to the public by utilizing social media to bring the global art community into my very isolated studio. You can follow my studio practice on Instagram to keep up to date. My Studio Practice on Instagram . I also post upcoming exhibitions and interviews on April Zanne Johnson- Studio on Facebook .

Studio History
My first studio space was inside my  bedroom in my grandparents/parents home.   I shared this home with 4 generations of family members and space was limited for my work.  In 1995 I moved my space into a covered, screened porch adjacent to my two bedroom  camper. As soon as it was winter, I was unable to work in that space.  Since 2001 I have been working in the  unfinished basement of my home. This was a good solution, but I ran into some major issues.    I am currently in the process of moving my studio into an amazing  converted barn space ( Firefly Studio) with a ventilation system, running water, and a heat, humidity and cooling system.

I cannot imagine a more perfect space to make my worlds come to life in paint...
However, I need funding to make this amazing space a fully functional creative workshop.   My plan is to purchase overhead lighting, build a stairwell to access the large storage space in the barn attic as well as a hoist for outside the attic to lift heavy paintings in through the top door. The most immediate concern is proper overhead lighting and to replenish my painting and plexiglass supplies.

I am unable to ask for donations of supplies and materials on this website, but will also be extremely grateful for donation of useful materials.  Any donation will help me keep creating.  I am in need of white frosted plexiglass and oil paint.

Firefly Studio is grateful for any amount donated to help me start up this space!
Please check out donation rewards!
Help! I need funding right away to continue making prolific work in oil paint on plexiglass.
