April's Medical Fund

Turbulence comes in many forms. My friend April, normally healthy, vivacious Int'l. Flight Attendant comes crashing down. Her story: After years of flying with no health problems one day comes off a flight not feeling "right." "Weak,"  she decribed. The next thing, she is admitted to the hospital for 3 weeks. Her dx: Stage 3, Angioimmunablastic T-CellLymphoma!

She moved to Delaware to have a new start after a separation. Her close friend told her to move in with her, save her money and be closer to work. April rented a room and was just on her new journey (4 mo.s), when the tests revealed her cancer. April is not niave about cancer and treatments as she was a care giver to her husbands cancer and her sisters cancer; some successful, others not.

Extensive chemo (almost there!) and upcoming bone marrow transplant  is on her agenda.

With our merger, our health insurance changes, and the ridicuclous COBRA rates strains her almost nil
budget.
