Antonio Mesa was an amazingly handsome, sweet, caring, and fun-loving young man. He touched the hearts of so many. A 2016 graduate of Cypress Bay High School and a current freshman at FSU, Antonio came home to Weston last week to spend his Spring Break with his loving family and friends. Antonio kissed his family goodbye on Sunday afternoon, March 19th and began heading back to Tallahassee with three of his friends. During their drive back to FSU, they were involved in a tragic multi-car accident that resulted in Antonio and one of his friends losing their precious young lives.
Antonio was a remarkable young man who had a passion for life and a heart of an angel. We are all devastated that at only 18 years of age, he was taken from us way too soon. We were so lucky to have known him and we are all in total disbelief and shock that he is no longer here with us today. Antonio’s family is completely heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief. No parent should ever have to bury their child.
Many people have asked what they can do to help the family so we have set up this Memorial Fund to help Antonio’s family pay for the unexpected funeral costs and other financial challenges the family may face during this time. If you feel it in your heart to donate, please know that any amount will help.
