On February 15th, Anne Marie "Rie" Hart was found unconscious, beaten, battered, and bruised in her apartment. She was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital where it was discovered she had suffered a major stroke and a seizure, along with other injuries.
She has paralysis of her right arm, slurred speech, loss of cognitive ability, etc. as well as complications from her Raynaud’s syndrome.
As we all know, Rie is a fighter, and we are praying for her full recovery. She has a long road ahead of her with physical/occupational/speech therapy. She is going to be facing medical bills, long-term rehab, and countless other financial, physical, and emotional challenges in the days, months, and years to come.
This is still raw and emotional for all of us right now and we'll try to keep this updated as to her progressions and status as often as possible.
Every penny we raise will help to keep Rie focused on healing and getting better from this life altering event. Please help!
