 FREDERICK, MD
Do you know Angela and Charlie Lakatos? They have a beautiful family of five that includes Cam, who is 3 years, and twin girls Izzy and Jeanette, who are 19 months. They live on a single income.

In March 2015 Angela found a lump. The biopsy came back positive for cancer and she has been told it is aggressive. The test of the lymph nodes came back positive and more tests are being done. Angela and her husband Charlie are overwhelmed with the information they receive on a daily basis.

Chemotherapy began on April 10, 2015 and surgery to come later.

In a short amount of time the family is witnessing how the costs are starting to add up and chemotherapy is just beginning. The costs of medication, chemo and surgery are just the tip of the iceberg. Angela only has so many days of leave available to her and that will be used up fast.

This is where you come in! I am asking all of you to consider giving to help this family get through this very difficult time. Please donate $5, $10, $20, $100, whatever you can do! These donations are not tax deductible, they are simply to help a family.

Give once or give once a month for a few months, your gift will go far to help this great family. If you need further information, please feel free to contact me by sending me a private message on Facebook and I will try to answer.

No one should fight alone! Remember, it takes a village....... Thank you.

This photo doesn't do Angela justice with her new hair style. Like everything else she does she does it well.

ICYMI - A note from Angela:

Good news and bad news, but I will focus on the good news. The port surgery went well yesterday, but I am pretty sore as would probably be expected. I should be good as long as the kids don't jump on my chest! The bad news is that I tested positive for the BRCA2 gene which probably means additional surgeries for me and testing for my girls. I guess I will find out more in the near future. I have been having a hard time staying positive, but all of those that have reached out, helped us with the children, logistics and financing have definitely helped me stay more focused on all the good things. I want to thank everyone for their generosity, prayers, and thoughts; it goes a long way for our family. :-) Thanks.

Thank you all so much for the generosity. This really does make a big difference in helping us cover copays, time I will need off work, and a portion of the chemo treatments. We really appreciate it. I will keep you updated now that I have figured out how to make a comment! Tuesday the 28th is surgery to install a port, and my next chemo treatment is Friday May 1. Thank you all again.

Again, I am overwhelmed with everyone's generosity and want to say thank you again. And thank you to all those that have brought meals, sent prayers and offered support. This has been a difficult week, but I am excited to spend time with friends and my husband this weekend for a nice break, and am hoping that next week will be better. It should be, it supposed to be "the good week"! I have several tests next week, and I am praying for good news.
