Do you know Angela and Charlie Lakatos? They have a beautiful family of five that includes Cam, who is 3 years, and twin girls Izzy and Jeanette, who are 19 months. They live on a single income.
In March 2015 Angela found a lump. The biopsy came back positive for cancer and she has been told it is aggressive. The test of the lymph nodes came back positive and more tests are being done. Angela and her husband Charlie are overwhelmed with the information they receive on a daily basis.
Chemotherapy began on April 10, 2015 and surgery to come later.
In a short amount of time the family is witnessing how the costs are starting to add up and chemotherapy is just beginning. The costs of medication, chemo and surgery are just the tip of the iceberg. Angela only has so many days of leave available to her and that will be used up fast.
