Andrew's Restoration - Good Sam
Andrew says, “THIS IS LIFE OR DEATH. I have no more chances. I’m a broken man of God that’s on his last leg looking in. This is the last chance of my life. This is it. I don’t have another life to live without this.” He’s desperate to know how Christ loves. Alcoholism has taken a huge toll on his life in every area. He wants change.
I, his wife Alicia Dibble, have been at The Altar Church for 6 months now. God is restoring me and moving in ways I could have never dreamed or imagined. On September 18th I made the decision to truly surrender to Christ with a broken gratitude I’ve never known...putting aside all religion and self. During the following week, God began purging me and showing me things I needed to get rid of and let go of. Out of my heart’s cry to glorify Him in everything and that my life worship Him in the beauty of holiness, on September 23rd at a women’s retreat, God touched my heart about my marriage. In short, God melted my heart that had been shut off and cold toward Andrew for over 5 years and stripped the lens of hurt, pain and addiction from my eyes. I can actually see him free and healed. I can see him soaring in Christ up here. I can see him being radically changed through the power of the Holy Spirit in the Good Samaritan program. He believes it too.
God has met me so intimately and dearly being involved in this church. I know He can do the same in Andrew’s life. I see Andrew...I hear him speak and I hear...I see his desperation for God and a new life. For one last chance to get it right. I’ve never seen him so broken...abandoning pride and laying himself down at Jesus’ feet. There is so much support for him here too.
I have heard testimonies and seen miracles done by God through the Good Samaritan program. We believe that God will use the Good Samaritan program to bring full restoration to Andrew and as a result to us...our marriage. Yes, he has tried numerous programs and left. Yes, there has been a vicious cycle and he has hurt many of you...we both have. Both he and I are truly sorry for hurting any of you we have.
This program is not a work all day, work all day, work all day and go to church on Sunday with a bit of prayer time and bible reading in the morning type of faith-based program. It has a strong foundation in the Word of God and teach it with no sugar coating or watering down. The love of Christ abounds. They show people Christ, teach His word and teach them how to study His word for themselves. They have classes too. For the men, it’s 60 days inpatient and 6 months Intensive Outpatient. He is already up here in Set Apart, a pre-program so to speak, with a few weeks to raise the $2500. With the fees to use the gofundme service, we need $2700 if all through here.
