As the American Legion celebrates its 100th Anniversary, serving America's Veterans and their families, we are needing your support. We do NOT receive funds from the government but relies on donations from you the public, nor do we charge for our services.
We are always in the need for supplies, and funds in order to continue helping the Veterans in our community, last year 2018 we were able to complete 28 claims for $386,000. total income for those Veterans who we were able to help, this is money being spent in our community. So we are making a difference in the Veterans who come to see us each Monday.
Below are a few other items that we are attempting to find funds to complete them.
We are in need of funds for necessary repairs of the interior of the building. All of your recent donations have gone towards the new roof which is now completed. Now the interior is our main focus. The Building is almost 100 years old and needs attention. Your help and support is greatly needed because it is the veterans we are trying to serve. We invite you to come tour the building on Mondays 9am to 1pm. On the 3rd Monday of each month our hours are 9am til 6pm.
The American Legion is Veterans helping Veterans. All assistance given to veterans are free of charge and all time is volunteered. We are here to serve to the community but most importantly we are here to help the veterans of the community. We assist with paperwork and claims to help Veterans, spouses, and dependents as well as assisting in crisis situations.
