Hi all,

We've all been watching the horrific scenes of the Grenfell Tower on the TV.  Rhianna is a 17 year old student that left BRIT just 2 months ago to pursue other things.  She was at BRIT as a music student since year 10 but is also a phenomenal basketball player.  She lives with her mum; adult brother and sister and 8 year old nephew in one of the apartments adjoined to the tower, sharing entrances and exits.  Their home has not been damaged by fire on the inside but the door has felt the full brunt of the flames.  They were evacuated and are told that they won't be able to return to collect anything from their home due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning; building collapse and horrifically because the emergency services are currently using the space to collect bodies :-(
The family are safe and are now staying with extended family in Clapham but they are awaiting a response from the council for rehoming.. when they do, they will need to start from scratch.
They have lost friends, neighbours and teachers from the block and are indeed the lucky ones in some respects.  Calling upon the BRIT School Community & our wider friends to donate what you can, let's kick them off so they can rebuild their home and it's furnishings once they are housed again #AlwaysBRIT
Thank you for your love xx
