Allie Miller's Brain Surgery

Donation protected
Allie Miller was born with something wrong with her brain. Each year she's grown weaker and weaker but did her best to live a normal life and ignore it. On Allie's sophomore year of high school she passed out and was rushed to the hospital where they started doing tests. It took over a year to diagnose her with a devastating brain disorder called, Chiari. Chiari is usually manageable but not common so the doctors didn't know much about it. At that time surgery was a huge risk, she would die so they didn't go thru with it but a few years laters we condition got a lot worse. This year, Allie went  back to Salt Lake City to see the top neurosurgeon for Chiari, where she was told she needed surgery, However, Not only did she need to do the normal decompression surgery, she also needed dura Plasty where they'd have to go through FOUR layers of muscle just to fix the issue. Allie's surgeon told her and her family all the risks but regardless of the risks and side effects, Allie decided to go forward with the surgery because she was in so much pain. Monday, December 21st was the scariest day of her life. She then was injected with multiple needles, had some hair shaved, and said her goodbyes to her loved ones just in case she didn't make it. She then was put to sleep and woke up in the most pain she's ever experienced. It took her two hours to feel relief, the doctor gave her all sorts of pain medications because her body was in such severe shock from the amount of pain she was in while she repeatedly kept throwing up and still Hours later Allie continued to vomit. The next day she was mostly in tears and still vomiting because of the extreme pain. The next day Allie found out her grandpa who she was extremely close to had a heart attack. Of course this put her body into shock again leaving her completely devastated but on Christmas Eve Allie was released from the hospital and so was her grandpa. He "facetimed" her because he didn't want her to worry about his condition which calmed her down being able to see his face. Christmas morning didn't pan out easy for her either, she spent the day stuck in bed on her phone spending Christmas in a dark room with my puke bucket. Still struggling to maintain her strength Allie was hit again with some very devastating news, her parents informed her that her grandpa had gone back to the hospital, so Allie tired distracting her mind but just a few hours later she got the news her grandpa had passed away. Allie is months away from recuperating and her family bares the heavy impact of losing a family member while seeing their daughter in intense pain. Most of her bills have been paid but the last bit has been hard. Allie is only 21 years old, she is a kind, generous and unique human being. She loves her family and God. Please be so kind as to sharing or even donating $1 to her cause, your kindness means everything to keep Allie strong and your prayers mean even more. Thank you. -Jeyda Beyzade and Ben Haggard
