Golisano Children's Hospital Air Hockey
Her Christmas wish is to raise enough money for a new air hockey table for all the children who have to spend the holidays away from home. Will you help? Together, we can make a difference!
Thanks to some very generous people, we flew by our original goal of $3,000 in just 4 days and then $5,000 in just 11 days. However, Kayleigh has very lofty ambitions and increased her goal once again to $7,000 by December 10th. Additional donations will be used to purchase other fun items for the children at the hospital.
Our fundraising contact at Golisano is:

Nov. 21st Syracuse Post Standard Newspaper (Neighbors North insert)
The other items include:
* 10 PS3 game controllers
* 44 PS3 games
* 32 DVDs
* 4 Kindle Paperwhites plus chargers and covers
* Amazon gift card to cover purchase of books
* 119 gift cards for cold Stone Creamery (located on 11th floor of the hospital)
We also gave to the Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (where Kayleigh goes to get her outpatient infusions)
* 4 portable DVD players
* 4 headphones
* 18 gift cards
Thank you so much for all your help and generosity. The children had already started playing with the table the moment it was installed! The children are super happy and so is the staff!
Here is a short video showing how we spent the remainder of the donations. Also, Betson was kind enough to let the kids check out the table before it gets delivered.
As stated in the story, we are looking to purchase many more items for the hospital Family Resource Center (library) and the outpatient clinic that Kayleigh receives her infusions at. So we are still accepting donations if you are willing to pass this along to other people.
Thanks so much for all your donations, you have made this possible.
The air hockey table is scheduled to arrive the first week of January (it had to be special ordered).
Thank you again for everyone's support and generosity.
I think what you are doing is very grown up of you! You will be in my thoughts and prayers and I wish you so much luck that you succeed in the amount that you are trying to raise. I lost my first born and my only daughter on March 26th, 2013 just 3 days after she had went to her first prom. She was 15 years old, her death was very unexpected because even though she had asthma she was very active in high school with Jr. ROTC, Dance, and was going to try out for the spirit squad for football and basketball season but she passed away before tryouts. Morgan was not a sickly child but when she got sick this time we made 4 ER visits in less than 2 days. At the time of her death when God called her home we still didn't know what was going on with her medically. We finally found out from the medical examiner's office that her cause of death was acute viral influenza B, pneumonia which exacerbated her asthma...my daughter had the flu and out the the trip to her pediatrician and the 4 visits to the ER no diagnostic testing was done to diagnose her with the flu. I miss my daughter so much, please do me a favor and that is to always get along with your brothers and sisters and mom and dad, tell them you love them often and how proud you are to have them in your life. Good luck, I hope to read more about you soon!
