It’s so hard to write this post, because nobody ever wants to have say the words: My best friend has Cancer. Saying it makes it real, and because it’s real, it’s terrifying.
In late February, 2017 Adriana was diagnosed with aggressive leukemia-lymphoma. She has already started treatment but the full course isn't fully covered by insurance. Treatment just started, but at least $30,000 more is needed to send her home!
I know Adriana will fight with everything she has to overcome Cancer because she has everything to live for: a loving husband and family, three beautiful special needs dogs,

and many life-long friends. Her husband is recently retired disabled Veteran and they were still moving into their first permanent home together when the diagnosis came. Life was finally starting to become peaceful and stable for this family, but now Cancer has stepped in.
I first met Adriana working with rescue animals, and I was immediately drawn to her huge heart and compassionate soul.

Everyone who knows her knows that she is the first person to step up to help a stranger, animal, friend or family member, and the last person to ask for help for herself. So, I am asking you to please help with a donation towards her recovery. The world would be a better place with more people like Adriana, and right now we are facing the very real possibility of losing someone who brings a great deal of positivity and love to everyone around her.
