NAD Youth Leadership Camp (YLC)

Dear Family and Friends

My name is Mohamed Abanoor and I am a junior, at Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I recently got accepted to attend the National Association of the Deaf Youth Leadership Camp 2018 (NAD YLC) in Oregon, a prestigious camp for selected deaf and hard of hearing high school students from all over the nation! At NAD YLC, I will have an exciting opportunity to participate in many activities, which will develop my scholarship, leadership, and citizenship (SLC) skills. I will have a chance to make many positive contributions to NAD YLC through a variety of roles that you will assume throughout the camp session. In addition, I will meet many respected guest speakers. I will form lasting friendships with many campers. I will interact with and learn from our highly experienced, enthusiastic staff members who have a passion for NAD YLC. I hope you can support me to go to this prestigious camp and donate whatever you can. I really appreciate your support through this new journey of my life :).

This fund will cover my flight tickets, camp tuition, and some hiking gear.
