Finding Baby Rutledge Aaron & Ryann

Donation protected
Consider this the Cliff Notes version of "Our Story". My name is Aaron Rutledge. The oldest of five children (3 brothers and 1 sister); an LDS Chrisitan born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.

My wife is Ryann Rutledge. The youngest of 4 children (2 sisters and 1 brother) also LDS, born and raised in the same town.

We met at 14 years old at a local church dance and have been friends, and furthermore, more than friends, since that fateful night.

After high school graduation we would go in separate directions. I volunteered for a 2-year church mission and served the people of Wyoming and Minnesota where I would learn the Spanish language and experience new cultures, see new things, and meet amazing new people.

During this, Ryann would attend school locally by necessity of health complications that she had been keeping under a very low profile. What would eventually become four years of kidney dialysis that would lead to a Good Samaritan Organ Donor and the diagnosis of Thyroid Cancer simultaneously caused her life to be put on a slight pause. Soon after this, Ryann and I both moved home to live with our parents (it happens to the best of us.) We reconnected, began dating, and were married the following summer. We were very excited to grow together in life, in school and most importantly, in growing our family.

Through all of the health trials Ryann has faced, it was never believed that her fertility would be affected so we didn't worry. Starting a family has always been very important to us and something we have pursued for more than 3 years, including infertility treatments, but have never been successful with it to this point. Never could we have imagined the long and broken road that would become our journey.

Through this, we kept moving forward and committed ourselves to furthering our education to provide and be an example for our future family. It wasn't always easy, but we made it work so that we both continued our studies. We attended Utah's flagship institution, The University of Utah in Salt Lake City where we studied the same major in Human Development and Family Studies. Ryann took her degree one step further and obtained an emphasis in Child Life while I opted to differentiate within Business. This took us to Utah State University where I started my graduate studies in business with a specific emphasis in Human Resources.

Having just graduated in December, I have started my full time career in Houston, Texas where we bought our first home. e are excited for some stability, and eagerly await our next step in starting a family. We know the blessing this process can be to both parties involved and have seen success stories between family members and close friends.

Now excited, healthy, and ready; we're starting to break down barriers and dismantle roadblocks as we start our family the best way we know how. If you're at all inclined or financially able, please help us. We are so excited about this journey that God is preparing us for and would love to share it with you.
