Softball: A Taste of Italy

I have been chosen to recruit and coach a softball team that will travel to Italy next Summer for International competition against Florence, Milan and Rome. This honor has been made available by ACIS- (American Council for International Studies).
With this opportunity, I've recruited the girls who play under my direction at Columbia High School, along with a few from surrounding towns. They will act as ambassadors representing softball and the United States, while competing internationally. The team as a whole will spend some time exploring the local regions we play against and get the chance to discover the customs/traditions of the Italian culture while gaining an educational experience too. This trip essentially encourages patriotism in my players while promoting peace and developing an international understanding of others.
In order for this 9 day trip to Italy be a success, we have to cover the team's expenses to travel abroad. Currently, many of our players can not afford to pay the $4000 per player to commit (even with payment plans). As their coach, I am trying to arrange fundraisers and opportunities that would drastically reduce each players' costs- making it available and affordable to ALL of my players. We would truly appreciate your assistance in making this vision possible and available to ALL our girls!
