American Legion Post 23

American Legion Raritan Post 23 is the oldest Post in Monmouth County and was found June 1919.  We assist and support Veterans and their families in the local community of Keyport, NJ, and surrounding towns.  We also are in the pursuit of demonstrating 100 percent Americanism by

-Sponsoring youth in Boys' and Girls' State participation
-Supporting charitable activities in the local community
-Scouting
-Educational Scholarship
-Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies

While our main fundraising come from hall rentals, pulltab, and donations from the lounge that overlooks the beautiful Keyport Waterfront, we need your support more than ever.  Even though we rebuilt the lower hall after Superstorm Sandy, the cost of the Mortgage and flood insurance, new roofing, HVAC, and repairs has taken a toll on the ability of our Post to maintain our Mission to support Veterans and their families as well as provide 100 percent Americanism to the general public.  While we are able to maintain a meeting place for our Veterans to learn more about benefits and advocacy, we need additional donations to support temporary financial hardship, scholarships for top students in Keyport School District, as well as community support.
