During the last couple of weeks the community of Amherstburg and all of Essex County were shaken up from the loss of a doting young man who loved his family beyond anything else in life. Adam Pouget was taken from his family and friends at the young age of 30 years old. Leaving behind his sole mate Ashley Dupuis and four beautiful children.
Adam Pouget didn’t know what special ritual he would get to share with his newborn son Dallas, though he was looking forward to finding out. But Pouget’s baby boy, born just eight weeks ago, will never know him. His other children — Lucas, 4, Jacob, 7, and 10-year-old step daughter Olivia Semande — are trying to comprehend the fact that he’ll never come home again. Pouget's life was taken too soon after being struck by a car on November 17th as he walked to work along a heavy fog-covered Amherstburg road.
Having read the story in the Windsor Star and meeting with Ashley and her Mother Shelley, I felt that with the help of my friends Jeff Burrows and Dan Hogan we could make a difference in this family's life and raise money to help ease the burden of paying high utility bills, keeping a roof over their heads, food on the table and most importantly gifts under the Christmas Tree this Holiday Season.
100% of the money raised will be donated to Ashley and her Children during this difficult time in their lives.
Together We Can All Make a Difference ! Let's show Ashley and her Family just how strong and supportive our community can be !
A fundraising event has been planned for Friday, January 6th, 2017 at the Libro Centre located at 3295 Meloche Road in Amherstburg from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m.
Hors D'Oeuvres and Beverages will be served and live music will be provided by Jody Raffoul along with a silent auction table of amazing items.
Tickets are $10.00 per person and will be available that evening at the door.
