On July 14, 2014, police were unable to resuscitate Gavin Quance, an 8 year old Bluffton boy, after drowning in his family pool.  Police arrived five minutes before EMS and were not equipped with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).  Arrhythmia Alliance, affiliated with STARS-US is raising funds to place AEDs in all police cars in Bluffton, South Carolina.
