A break from cancer, Disneyland vacation

This is my friend Mandy. She is a Veteran, union leader, activist, mother, wife, and friend to many. In solidarity we held a shaving party to show our love and support.



But we want to do more.

In Mandy's own words: "My husband and me right before chemo treatment number 2, when my hair would fall out. With intention, we shaved our heads along with friends in a celebration of the love and support I am fortunate enough to have. I have finished first round of chemo (four super harsh treatments) get four weeks to recover and move to 12 weeks of Taxol, the between chemo and surgery, we are taking our children to Disneyland because between double mastectomy end of May and six weeks of daily radiation, Mommy won't be up to much this summer. But in the meantime, I am blessed and I will survive."

We want to send her and her family to Disneyland.



Because cancer does not only affect those who bear the illness but their loved ones as well. Especially the children who just want their mommy to be well again.



Mandy sick and tired of chemo!
