Join the movement In Respect of Our Mother Earth, American Treaty Rights and Native American Sovereignty.

AICH will continue to Stand with Standing Rock and will continue to raise awareness for the cause and your donations help us do this work.  We sent representatives down to the Native Nations Rise March in Washington D.C. on March 10th, 2017.  Currently, AICH is a leader in the movement demanding the City of New York to divest from banks such as Wells Fargo and Citibank that finance the Dakota Access Pipeline and other pipelines.  AICH has been in the forefront of on-going actions and advocacy in support of this collective struggle.

The 1,100 mile pipeline is carrying 500,000 barrels of crude oil that is a direct threat to the life, rights, and water. This water will not only effect the Standing Rock Sioux but everyone everywhere. If the Dakota access pipeline can continue to be built and contaminate water in the face of thousands who are peacefully resisting for months, then the same thing can happen anywhere.

Please stand in support as we call on:

·         NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, as well as Comptroller Stringer, to end the City’s pension fund investments and business with Wells Fargo and other DAPL banks.

·         Wells Fargo and the other banks to stop funding oil & gas pipelines such as Dakota Access; Pilgrim Pipelines; Keystone XL; Sabal Trail; Penn East; Trans-Pecos and many others that destroy Mother Earth.  We are also demonstrating against their sub-prime rip-offs, foreclosures, financing for private prisons and other practices that plague us all.

The City of Seattle already divested from Wells Fargo over its financing of Dakota Access, after the bank defrauded its customers and then blamed its workers.  NYC is a major customer for bank services and the NYC pensions funds control $165 billion in investments. Mayor de Blasio and Comptroller Stringer: Divest Now!

Members from the American Indian Community House were at Standing Rock from November 10th to the 15th and stayed at the Oceti Sakowin Two Spirit and Red Warrior Camps.  Thanks to your financial donations we had the privilege of directly bringing these supplies and prayers from the greater NYC community, Native and Non-Native alike.  Your donations went to financing our trip in delivering supplies and prayers by way of the Van drive there to the skies on American Airlines.  We had our first community report back from 6-8pm on Dec. 1st at the American Indian Community House.  On April 3rd and April 19th AICH had two more Community Report events led by young Native women speaking on their Standing Rock experiences and their continuing activism.

A.I.C.H. stands in solidarity with hundreds of tribes from all over the world who have gathered there to protect the sacred waters.  It is with the utmost gratitude to those who have supported and continue to support these efforts.

Thank you AICH for helping us who want to do what we can to redress the shameful treatment we have demonstrated to the First Peoples of our Country. They have much to teach us about Mother Earth and what we must do to protect and save her for ourselves and future generations.
