Derek Bellows Memorial Fund

I am organizing this gofund me on behalf of Derek Bellows family to raise funds for his funeral cost and expenses. All funds raised will go directly to pay for funeral cost and any remaining will then go directly to the "wounded worrier foundation."
Derek Bellows was in a tragic quad accident in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve. Derek suffered a severe head injury and passed away from his injuries on December 26, 2015 in the early morning hours.
We all prayed very hard for a Christmas Miracle. The Christmas Miracle did not come for us, but Derek is the Christmas Miracle for many other families. Derek’s organs were donated in order to save the lives of many people. This is something that is very close to Derek’s heart as his Grandfather received a new heart 8 years ago.
Derek was an amazing young man full of life. He loved the outdoors, riding horses, snow mobiles, 4 wheelers or whatever he could drive fast. He also had a huge heart for people and animals. Derek loved horses and especially his dog. Derek also loved traveling with his Mom and Chris as they went place to place to see the world.
Derek will be missed by all. I don’t think he really realized how many people loved him as we watched all of his friends come to say their final good bye. His main group of friends came in a group to all say their final good bye to Derek together which was an amazing site. Derek would have loved seeing them all together.
There is another project that is very important to Derek. That is the Wounded Worrier Project. This fund helps with wounded service Men and Woman.
At this time the family is asking that no flowers be sent that everyone donate to this go fund me page instead. The funds will assist with funeral cost and any remainder will go directly to the "Wounded Worrior Fund" in Memory of Derek Bellows.

Derek was an amazing young man. He had a huge heart. As a baby Derek knew how to make a girls cry, literally as he would steal my daughter's bottle and make her cry as an infant. Derek was a passionate young man always. When Derek set out to do something he did it. He loved animals and riding anything. He had a huge passion for horses and dealt with them with a kind heart. Derek was much like his Mom. Having a huge heart for anyone he cared about. But don’t hurt him or make him mad by doing something mean or you will see the bear come out with full force! His passion and compassion is needed more in this world. He had a huge passion for the Wounded Warriors Project which tells you what kind of heart and spirit he has. He wanted to be an organ donor because his Grandfather received a donated heart. Derek was an all heart kind of kid. RIP bubba we love you.
