It's moving time!
I'm a single father of a terrific special-needs child. I work freelance, and though I work hard, we've been struggling financially. Now, we have the opportunity to get into a low-cost housing situation that will help me get on my feet!
However, I'm struggling (yes, that word again!) to get enough money to pay for moving expenses, the deposit, and to get Internet set up at the new place. That last is very important, since I work online and need to have that going to stay afloat.
Now, I'm planning on going back to school to get my teaching credential in special education in the fall, which would allow me to have a good, steady job I'll feel proud of, and to work the same hours that my son is in school. I just need some help over this hump! I've been applying to many dozens of freelance jobs and nothing new has come through. I do have a steady job that I enjoy for a good writing company, but right now we're between projects. Hopefully more work will come through soon so all the writers on that project can get back to work!
Now, I will have enough for the first month's rent, so that's all rigtht. Any money I get from this campaign will be applied toward these things:
1. The $500 deposit.
2. Renting a truck.
3. Getting Internet set up.
4. Buying some pots, pans, and plates, as I need all those.
5. Getting appropriate locks for the doors and windows to keep my son safe, as he's had a history of wandering. His safety and well-being are more important to me than anything.
