Burnt to the ground

May 20th 2019 at 4.00am in the morning a life changing event happened to my husband and I.   A fire raged through small 2 bedroom home. It was devasting a total loss. What the fire didn't take the water from the 6 fire engines took two vehicles. At about 3.55 am our cat went crazy howling and screaming while attacking my husband in bed,I was away taking care of my elderly mother, He jumped out of bed to see why the cat was acting like a crazy man and went to let her out. When he did this he took approximately 5 steps back toward the living room and was met by a wall of smoke and fire. It knocked him to his knees. The flames we're coming down from the ceiling by for feet. He turned and crawled,in theheat,the smoke and flames about 15 feet to the back door. He made it outside, sorry to say our life saving kitty,who if it hadn't woke my husband,he wouldn't be here with me today.he made it outside and almost crawling made it to the neighbors homes and warned them of the fire. Within 30seconds the house was completely engaged. He left the back door open hoping our cat would find her way out. When the glass in the front room exploded do to the heat the the outside air was sucked in and funnuled though to the back door. He said it sounded like a fright train. It caused a firestorm.   The air fed the fire and the flames we're 40 feet above the house. 5 to 6 fire trucks arrived but the house was to far gone. It was a total loss. Everything we've accumulated over 36 years of marriage was gone. Poof just like that.   We had just switched our insurance and had an appointment to set up our renters insurance. So nothing was insured. 35 years lost cars photos jewelry momentos it's all gonei cried to my husband I was lost . He took me in his arms looked me in his eyes and tenderly said. It's not all gone you still have me. And all those things are just things they all can be replaced.we started new 35 tears ago and we'll just have to do it again for another thirty five years. We laughed we cried we held each other. All we're asking for is a little help from the concerned and caring people out there, who understands the effects of a tradgedy of an event like this.
