Help Travis Beat Cancer

Hi, my name is Sarah, and Travis is my partner and the father of our 7-month-old son Nathaniel. Some of you may already know Travis's story. For those of you who don't let me tell you about his fight. In 2011 when he was 29 he got acute pancreatitis. After dying 3 times on the table, a 2 week induced coma and a long and painful 4-month recovery, Travis was out of the hospital. Although pancreatitis left him with 1/4 of his pancreas (resulting in Type 1 Diabetes), he was happy to be getting back to normal and ready to keep living life.  In 2015, Travis was involved in a truck accident that saved his life. The accident landed Travis in the hospital with a broken knee. While he was under admission, he was found to be anemic. After some more testing, he was told he had bowel cancer. At 34 he faced another grueling battle but all during this time Travis never gave up. After surgery to treat the bowel cancer and 6 months of chemotherapy, Travis was told he had kicked cancers butt!! Things were finally looking up. In July 2018 Trav started experiencing a burning pain down his left leg and in his back. Once again off he went for testing. 5 weeks before Nathaniel was due to be born Trav was diagnosed with cancer again. Travis currently has a large tumor in his pelvis that has already killed 1/3 of his left kidney. It is situated on the main artery in the center of his body and also on a nerve which causes him a great deal of pain. Pain that leaves him sleepless at night and exhausted during the day. There is also a spot in his liver and two in his abdomen. Early this year, Travis completed a 6 week run of radiation followed by 5 cycles of chemotherapy before scans showed the treatments were making no difference and are failing to work. The position of the tumor has made surgery impossible. All during this time, Travis has continued to work and stay positive. He has been so strong and he continuously supports me through becoming a mum for the first time. He is my hero and best friend. His strength and determination inspire me. His positive attitude and ability to be grateful for every day makes him easy to be around. Up until this point Travis has continued to work almost every day. However, he suffers from terrible pain and has reached the point where it is very difficult for him and he is now preparing to finish up. At this time I am unable to work as I am now not only the full-time carer of our baby son but I am also Travis's carer because he is very limited in what he can do now. We are hoping that by putting Travis's story out there we may be able to alleviate some of the financial pressure we are under so that we can focus on our family and giving Travis better quality time with us . At the moment Travis feels he must keep providing for his family, but it is coming with a very high price, his health. Any help toward Travis's medical expenses and convalescence will greatly help him both mentally and physically.  Your help would go a long way toward some small sense of security for our family. It would help Travis fight his battle and to stay strong and positive, as it weighs heavily on Travis's mind that Nathaniel will have all he needs.
