Run against cancer

Through the Mace health & well-being initiatives I have found myself being convinced to work on my personal health as well as that of others. A combination of these items have given me the desire to raise money for cancer research by running the Amsterdam half marathon the 20th of October 2019.
In my near surrounding over the years multiple people close to me have passed away due to cancer and currently another 2 are fighting the disease. I have decided to run for the KWF kankerbestrijding. Part of this charity's goal is the following:
'The Dutch Cancer Society(DCS) is determined to beat cancer as soon as possible. That’s why we fund and guide scientific research, influence policy, and share our knowledge about cancer and its treatment. '
I think we all know someone in our surrounding that is dealing with this disease. I'll stand by the words of KWF - Kankerbestrijding: 'Let's do everything possible to help bring about the day when no-one else has to die of cancer. We’re getting there together.'
My goal is to raise 1000 euro's by October 19 - 2019.
