Our Friend Needs Our Help

Melissa is a Paramedic here in Tennessee. Not only is she my partner on the truck but she is also a very dear friend. Back in December she lost her father, then December 16, 2017 her younger sister Amanda was reported missing by her roommate. Amanda lived in Georgia. Melissa has made several trips back and forth trying to find her baby sister and trying to help comfort their mom during this time of the unknown.  On February 23, 2018 she received a call while she was at work telling her that her sisters body had been found and it is being ruled as a homicide. During all of this she has had to miss work and also has had a lot of out of pocket expenses. This is not even close to being over and many more trips will have to be made.Melissa has spent years living her passion in EMS.  She has spent countless hours working to save lives yet she has been unable to save those closest to her. This time she is on the other side of the job and it is taking a bad toll on her. Melissa has spent all of her life doing for others and if that meant spending her last dollar she would do it and never ask for a single thing in return.
