Miriam's Study Abroad to Canterbury

My Story
My name is Miriam Aschi and I am in my first year of college and currently go to Moberly Area Community College to get my general education before going to a four year university. At my school they offer a study abroad program for students who meet certain requirements like having a good GPA. The program is in Canterbury England for the Fall 2017 semester at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Canterbury
Canterbury England is one of the safest cities to study abroad in, there is nothing but good reports from past students who have gone to Canterbury. And it is full of history, it is a large cathedral city in southeast England, and was a pilgrimage site in the Middle Ages. Also Canterbury is the birthplace of the well known Canterbury Tales. 

While I will be traveling out of the country, this is not a vacation I will still be in school earning college credits. During this study abroad we will be visiting several of the historical places such as Stonehenge, Dover Castle, Cambridge, etc. 

The Cost
The total of it is around the $12,000 mark. This cost covers tuition, airfare, homestay, and admission to the scheduled tours. In addition to that total, I will also need to pay for a passport, meals, and ideally while over there I would like to travel to other places such as Paris, London, etc.
