A dear member of our community is in need of our support. Cindy Dougherty's daughter and son-in-law have a new baby, please read below:
Last evening, I was blessed with my fifth grandchild. Like the four others, I consider him to be God's greatest gift. Benjamin Francis was born at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with a rare birth defect called congenital diaphragmatic hernia. This birth defect was determined at a routine 20 week ultrasound. As you can imagine, it's been a difficult five months waiting for his arrival, but he is here! He is a beautiful baby who looks just like his big brother but with a full head of dark hair and some chubby cheeks. He has some difficult months ahead and could use lots and lots of prayers. Please keep Benjamin, his mommy and daddy, and big brother Brennan in your prayers.
Baby Benjamin will be at CHOP for 3-4 months and the parents and big brother will be staying at a hotel in Philly on weekends to be close with Benjamin. They live two hours from CHOP, between gas, meals, and medical bills, they could sure use any monetary gift to help aid them through this difficult time. Their worries are many so if we can help ease one aspect of their lives they would greatly appreciate it.
The beneficiary for this campaign is Amanda Hamill who is Baby Benjamin's aunt. Amanda will provide all funds raised to her sister (Katie Macklin) and brother-in-law (Adam Macklin) to assist with their costs associated with Baby Benjamin's care.
