It's always been my dream to be an author. Although my early life didn't support that ambition, I held jobs that supported me and kept trying. I wrote in college and was once the editor/writer of a newsletter for Merrill Lynch. When laid off from my job at a major bank at the age of 63, I finally finished a novel called The Moons of Koda which I self-published in 2016. (It's available as an e-book and in paperback in several NYC bookstores.)
I would now like to publish a book for young children named Max Gets Well-Adjusted. It's about a three- year-old boy who visits a chiropractor with his Mom, Dad, and one-year-old twin sisters. Max looks forward to these visits because he gets to chase the chiro's pet chihuahua, Cooper, around the office. . . so far unsuccessfully. The little dog always outwits Max, which only makes Max more determined. The story illustrates how chiropractors work with children and how some kids behave when in their offices. My own chiro read the story and said, "it was just like a day at the office."
I hope to ease the anxiety small children can feel when going to any kind of doctor. The money will be spent on the printing of 250 copies, illustrations, purchase of ISBNs, delivery fees, its publication as an e-book, and postage. The funds will be appreciated asap, although this is not an emergency.
Since I live only on my social security benefit, my personal money is pretty much gone. I truly believe that this book will benefit young children. Your support will make its publication possible. I can't imagine any other way.
