Zeus´s Road to Recovery

Hi friends and family,
Last week we found out that my younger sister has cancer in her cervix. As I sit here trying to come up with the words to write this I still can hardly come to terms with the news, my little sister has cancer.
In medical terms it is at crisis level because it is a stage 4 diagnosis A and B, meaning it cannot get much more serious. It’s spreading so there is a need to act fast.
A huge saving grace is that so far it has not spread to any of her organs only through the lymphatic system, it is treatable and potentially reversible. My sister Zeus having just turned 33 years has everything to live for; and she is a mother to 4 amazing children Zion 11, Jah 10, Genesis 9 and Jireh 6.
She is also fortunate to have been blessed with an amazing Oncologist Dr Millie Light at Queens Hospital in London and a great team of nurses and support workers, they have been doing an incredible job so far. We have heard horror stories about the cutting of NHS services but there are still dedicated and talented people working hard to help us heal in our communities. Millie has truly gone above and beyond, even making late-night calls to us for urgent consultations. As a mother to 5 children of her own and a full-time job working across 3 different hospitals I find this level of care for her patients incredibly inspiring.
Because of the stage the cancer is at operating to remove the tumour is not feasible, it’s too large and would put vital organs at risk, also for that reason radiotherapy is not an option right now. Dr. Light has therefore recommended a course of six chemotherapy treatments that will initially last 6 months.
Chemotherapy is tough and pushes the body to its limit, the side effects are hard to deal with, and Zeus needs to summon as much strength as possible to successfully go through this treatment. We have been working hard to find other solutions that could help support her in fighting this over the coming months. It is now widely known and there have been thousands of demonstrated cases of people who have survived cancer using natural holistic therapies and or by combining them with medical procedures like chemotherapy.
Over the past week I have personally spoken to cancer survivors who have used natural therapies to treat their disease, their cancers are either in remission or become non-life threatening by combining medical and holistic health treatments. We have done enough research to know that it works and could work for my sister. We have found a world-class treatment facility in Miami who offer a leading cancer treatment programme that can help support Zeus back to health. Again we have been blessed to find a team of highly experienced doctors and healers there who can help her in her recovery journey.
The 3-week cancer treatment programme at Hippocrates Health Institute starts on May 19th; we need to raise $25,000 to get her there.
I have realised over the last few days that many people I know have a cancer or similar story in their family or friends circle. I know my family is not unique, many are fighting similar illnesses like cancer, a lot in private. I can relate now and understand more how difficult it is to have something like this happen and at its worst to lose a loved one. It saddens me that I can´t finance this myself, and that many people also lack the finances to give loved ones the opportunity to recover from these kinds of illnesses. And I also realise that many of us are fighting our own battles and have families to take care of.
The beauty of fundraising platforms is that if everyone gives a little and shares the load financial miracles can happen, the many making it easier to help people in need. Technology is a blessing in this type of situation, it gives hope and options. We need your help, anything you can give is hugely appreciated. I wish I didn’t have to ask, but now is not the time for me to be prideful, we need help. This is not about taking food off your table, only what you are able to give easily. I hope one day I can return the favour.
