Operation Birthday Pay It Forward
Donation protected
On May 23, 2014 I will turn 32 years old. Lately, I've seen where people are following a birthday movement where they do random acts of kindness, one for each year of their age. I thought this was a great idea and had full intentions on doing 32 random acts of kindness. The more I thought about it, the more I thought maybe it would be a better idea to do one big act, but for a group of 32 people. Then I thought, why stop there? So here is what I'm doing for my birthday - Operation Birthday Pay It Forward. I want this to effect at least 32 people, but with the right amount of donations, I know it could effect hundreds more. I will be working in conjunction with Hardin-Houston Schools, where my wife and I both graduated, and where our 6 year old daughter attends. An account will be set up, comprised of the donations given, and will be used at the schools discretion for small things needed by students whenever necessary. These will be things that there normally aren't aid for. If a student's lunch account is in the negative, this will buy their lunch. If a student wants to play basketball, but can't afford team colored shoes, this will pay for them. If a student wants to compete in the science fair, but can't afford supplies, this will pay for them. You get the idea. So, help me pay it forward for my birthday by helping students. You never know, maybe they'll pay it forward as well.
