Hi, my name is Lincoln Dunning and I am 16 months old.  I was born 11 weeks early and throughout my 16 months I have had several health issues and the doctors haven't been able to make me better.  I have been transferred to St. Louis Childrens hospital multiple times throughout my life and most recently this is where I am at.  I had to have a bonchoscopy and laryngoscopy done that caused swelling in my throat.  Due to issues breathing they had to intubate me and sedate me so that I didn't have to continue struggling.  While I was sedated I coded and my heart stopped beating for 14 minutes.  Thankfully the doctors were able to take care of me and get me back.  After days of careful monitoring they decided that I was at too high of a risk for another cardiac arrest, so they did a tracheostomy. I will have to stay in the hospital until I am healthy enough to go home and will have the trach till the end of this summer or the end of next summer. It all depends on how I progress.   I am so thankful for my wonderful parents who have found a way to juggle their schedules so that I haven't had to spend a single day in the hospital alone.  This has been very stressful on them and there have been so many friends and family that have been supportive during this time.  My mommy and daddy have had to miss a lot of work and have incurred substantial medical bills and expenses traveling back and forth to St. Louis and I ask that if you are able to help out in any way possible it would be greatly appreciated.  If you can't contribute financially your prayers are welcome.  I am a fighter but I will take all of the extra help I can get at this time.  Your contributions will mean so much to me because being able to have my parents here for me during this time is helping me get through these rough times.  Thank you so much!
