Send Drew to Baseball Camp!!!

Donation protected
Please help a dream come true for a 12 yr old boy who lives, eats, and breathes baseball. He was one of nine finalists out of over 100 entries from across the country to win a free spot at a Ripken Baseball Camp in Aberdeen, Maryland. He was just shy of winning the grand prize. We are trying to raise funds so he can still participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity.

The costs would include:
The camp itself: $1,450 (Ripken Baseball has graciously reduced Drew's camp cost by $250!)
Drew's airfare: $625
Gina's airfare: $625
gofundme fees: $225
Everything else will be picked up by the family.

Camp dates: Sunday August 3rd- Friday August 8th 2014

A little about Drew Sullivan:

When he was two yrs old his father passed away. His mother, Gina, has done a great job as a single mom raising him to be a kind and caring young man. Watching his older brother's baseball games at the age of four sparked his interest in the game. Starting with T-Ball at five he has played ball non-stop. When he didn't make the All-Star Team at nine yrs old he just made the decision to practice harder and get better. He made it the next year with his team winning districts and going to state. He has played on two fall ball teams at one time including Academy Baseball in Portland, Oregon. At 10 yrs old he started playing on a tournament team while still playing Little League. Drew's coaches have influenced him greatly and taught him good sportsmanship, leadership, and baseball skills; they have also been great male role models for him throughout the years. Last summer, at Lewis and Clark College baseball camp, he won the "Best Camper Award."

Drew is the kind of kid everybody wants on his team. He helps clean up after games and practices, and cheers on all team members. When his Little League team is doing laps Drew is one of the first kids back, but always continues running with the kids that are behind. Currently his main positions are pitcher, catcher, and outfield, but he is happy anywhere on the field. He will play wherever the coaches ask him to.

His mother continues to find baseball camps in the local area that he can attend, but this camp in Aberdeen, Maryland would be the chance of a life time. It is these kinds of opportunities that will help Drew be successful as he continues to play baseball. This could help lead to college scholarships in the future as he has that much potential.

Thank you, every little bit helps! If you would like more information on the camp please go to the Ripken Baseball website: https://www.ripkenbaseball.com/camps
