Terry's Medical Cost

Terry Baker is a 46 year old male who was on his way home from a family event in January 2015, with his wife Mary and nephew when their car was struck by a drunk driver.  His wife and nephew were not severely injured but Terry suffered from a catastrophic injury leaving him paralyzed, with no feeling from mid chest down (quadriplegic).  Since his Spinal Cord Injury Terry has had multiple surgeries including; neck repair, tracheostomy, feeding tube, filter for blood clots, colostomy and wound debridement’s.  He has suffered from multiple episodes of pneumonia and sepsis and continues to fight for his life every day. Prior to his injury Terry loved life and enjoyed his job for S&N Communications as a locator, supervisor and damage investigator.   He was and is a loving husband and an active member and officer in Elks Lodge #2382 in Virginia.   Currently Terry is once again fighting against sepsis and a severe stage 4 sacral wound.  Terry and his wife have been burdened with knowing that he will never be able to walk again, or work to help provide for his family.  Secondary to all the related cost in his medical care, Terry and his wife have lost their home and are in severe financial straits.  We are asking for donations to assist Terry and his wife in all the upcoming medical cost that will be involved in taking care of him including but not limited to, ramp access into a house, specialized motorized wheel chair, special adaptions for a vehicle so he can be transported to and from events along with physician and hospital visits.  We are also asking for everyone to remember, Do Not Drink and Drive!
