Mental health needs to be discussed. We must continue to talk about it openly, without judgement and to break the stigma. I am running marathons in 2018 with funds going directly to Rattle the Stars. Read their mission below. "Our mission is to raise awareness about youth depression and other mental illnesses and to prevent suicide in teens and young adults. We accomplish this goal by starting the conversation and helping people talk openly and honestly about mental illness and suicide. We host and take part in events throughout the year to make sure that we keep these issues at the forefront in the community. We provide resources and supports for teachers, coaches, and others to build conversations about mental illness and suicide into their work with youth. We provide outlets for people who have been affected by mental illness and suicide to share their experiences and express their feelings."

August 11th will be my 8th marathon. I'll have 8 hrs to run, walk or crawl 3.29 mile loops in this ultra marathon. It promises to be a warm day but will be among a good group of runners. Thank you for the donations and support.

My 6th marathon was completed on Friday June 15th. A mixed weather day, started off cool and sprinkles of rain but got very hot. I found it hard to find consistency in this hotter weather. The plus is no injuries and I am more or less ready to jumo back into another training cycle. My next marathon is on July 15th. August brings an 8hr ultra, September I'll be headed to Michigan and then finishing with number 10 in Madison in the beginning of November. Thanks for all the support so far!
