Project Backpack for Jamaica

I have decided to start a foundation in my grandfather's name, Vincent S. Coote Foundation (VSCF). In the summer of 2008, Vincent Sterling Coote, my beloved grandfather, suffered a hemorrhagic stroke which progressively rendered him bedridden. During that time, the family attentively cared for him like he did for his children and his community. After his passing in November 2013, I thought how could I/we honor his life in death? The idea of starting a foundation that will provide backpacks and school supplies came to mind. So with that said, I am requesting monetary donations in any amount, simply a $1 or $2 believe it or not goes a looong way! All monies will be used 100% in buying supplies along with backpacks. The goal is to provide 40 school children with supplies which their parents are unable to afford in Burnt Savannah (Westmoreland), Jamaica. This August 2014 prior to school starting, the backpacks will be given to those deserving children. No child should go without the basic needs to get an education. My hopes and dreams are to continue his legacy by giving back to the community as he did in his lifetime. Your donation/contribution will play a vital role in making this dream realized. I thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
