Independent Documentary Film Maker Renee Marchol is stuffing her saddlebags full of digital equipment, and mapping a 800 mile journey to capture the moment in America, felt around the world, when battery powered bicycling connected with available sources of carbon free energy to help stabilize the global climate crisis while providing social, economic and transportation benefits.--Bicyclist & Writer Michael Zack

Microdocumentaries produced by women are increasing. Still the public often mistakes me for craft services or a production intern if my male friends are also on the set. I'm film maker, Renee Marchol.

SmartyGirls and SmartyFellas are my allies on and off the set. I've crewed for men and women producers. I hope to close the education gap and reduce the barriers to entry for the next generation of women digital content producers.

This behind-the-scenes microdocumentary trailing the video production projects led by women producers for 3 months will last as a tutorial of what works and what doesn't in one of the most entertaining how-tos crowdfunding has ever seen. Adorkable teaser of one such project below:

Our filmmaker? A fan of the late George Carlin who graduated as one of the few female MBAs of 2007 and works in technology & entertainment journalism.
