3 Days in The ER Will Save Ed

Ed is an 8yr old cat that was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis. The symptoms came on suddenly and very unexpectedly. It's a condition that's completely manageable with a special diet; however, Ed won't eat or drink because his pancreas is so inflamed. We are keeping him the animal hospital for a day and then going to try at home treatment. His chances of surviving are much greater if he can stay in the hospital two more days. The hospital staff will have a much better chance of stabilizing him and saving his life with those two extra days. 

At home treatment is not recommended, but my husband and I recently expanded our family by one bouncing baby boy who is now 9wks old. The medical bills we have acquired from the not-so-easy birth have left us without the means to get Ed the full in-hospital treatment he needs.

Ed is the sweetest, most loving cat I have ever encountered. He loves to cuddle. Not just sitting next to you cuddles, but the "I'm going to sit on your face until you love me" cuddles. I can't imagine wake up in the morning without him being on my chest staring at me like a creep. When your hands are too full to pet him he will gladly lay at your feet and headbutt them until you rub him with your toes. Fingers or toes make no difference to him as long as he's getting the rubs he feels entitled to.

He still has a long life ahead of him and he deserves the chance to live it. Please help me save my purrbaby.
